I created a site collectionin Central Administration. I open my site and go into site setting to activate some features and I'm getting the following errors: Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection featuresFailed to activate feature 'LocalSiteDirectorySettingsLink' (ID: e978b1a6-8de7-49d0-8600-09a250354e14) at scope 'http://oskmosst01'.Office SharePOint Server Standard Site Collection FeatureFailed to activate feature 'LocalSiteDirectorySettingsLink' (ID: e978b1a6-8de7-49d0-8600-09a250354e14) at scope 'http://oskmosst01'.I get errors on any feature that isn't activated under Site Administration: Site Features and Site Collection Administration: Site Collection Features.I'm really stumped on this one. Okay, we rebooted the server and then we able to activate the features?? Very confusing...

I resolved it just restarting IIS.

You are correct this solved my issue.

iisreset worked for me too. Recycling the app pool probably would have done it too. Must be some corruption in processes. May need to cycle the pools more frequently.
